Systems Thinking Installation
Creating clarity and embodied understanding on the basics of systems thinking

De Schakelmachine is a physical learning and conversation installation that transforms the way teams experience and understand system thinking. Designed for policymakers, trainers and facilitators working with innovation, HR, and leadership teams in large organizations and governments, it bridges the gap between abstract theory and real-world complexity.
Traditional training often relies on frameworks, models, and explanations-leaving participants with conceptual understanding but little change in behaviour or collaboration. De Schakelmachine makes system dynamics tangible, visible, and discussable. It doesn’t just teach system thinking; it lets participants feel how systems behave, how hidden structures shape outcomes, and how assumptions can mislead.
By creating a shared, physical experience, the installation breaks down silos, fosters a common language, and reveals the interconnectedness of decisions and consequences. Teams discover how their choices ripple through a system, encounter delays, and face unintended effects - all in a safe, engaging environment.
The result? Faster, deeper insights, more effective collaboration, and decisions that are better informed by the realities of complex systems. De Schakelmachine doesn’t just explain how systems work; it changes how people see, think, and act within them.
How could this approach transform the way your team tackles complexity?
